America's Stonehenge - The Watchhouse
We made our way from the main lodge to the site via a trail past the alpaca habitant. The mayflies were already attacking us, though they didn't really bite us. Mostly, they annoyed us. The first major structure you come to has been labeled "The Watchhouse" by the excavators. It was built outside the main compound of structures, and it was named the Watchhouse, our guide map tells us, "to explain its location outside of the main site, although it could have been used for shelter or storage."
The Watchhouse Entry

As you approach, you actually see the door as you pass by the southern wall (all of the Stonehenge U.S.A.'s chambers open to the south, with two exceptions.) You can also see the main lodge in the background.
Looking into the Watchhouse

You can't actually go in, but I leaned over the wall and snapped this shot. Behind it, you can see the Astronomical Viewing Platform.
