65 Prospect Street (formerly 66 College Street)
In 1933, following the death of his aunt, Lillian D. Clark, the previous year, HPL moved to 66 College St. with his surviving aunt, Annie E. Phillips Gamwell. This building was immediately behind the John Hay Library, which today houses most of HPL's surviving manuscripts. He lived in this house until his death in 1937. In 1959, the building was moved to 65 Prospect St., where it stands today, to make room for the List Art Building to be built behind the Library.
